Advantages of fiancée/fiancé based visa

• Can migrate to the U.S. as soon as a visa number is available from the National Visa Center
• Can obtain a conditional resident card
• Visa interview can be scheduled at the nearest U.S. embassy in your home country

Disadvantages of fiancée/fiancé based visa

• Must meet certain requirements for evidence of the relationship
• Must get married to the petitioner within 90 upon arrival to the U.S.
• Can only obtain a conditional resident card which will last two years
• Must file a petition to remove the condition of the spouse's residency when the conditional card expired
